Impala Terminals Group facilitates the global trade of commodities by offering producers and consumers reliable and efficient access to international markets. Through its network of more than 45 strategically located assets and operations in 29 countries, Impala provides critical storage and logistics infrastructure services to energy and dry bulk customers around the world. The company manages two global businesses – Impala Energy Infrastructure and Impala Dry Bulk & Logistics - and is a joint venture between one of the world’s largest commodity trading houses, Trafigura, and the global fund manager, IFM Investors. ITG is a Joint-Ventures between Trafigura and IFM investment fund, owning and operating various assets such as ports, terminals and multimodal logistics assets chains in export driven emerging markets for both liquid and dry cargos. It operates as well several assets (owned by Trafigura) under a management service.

The Static Data and Support Analyst will be responsible for managing and maintaining static data across various systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. This role will also provide support for data-related inquiries, processes, and enhancements, working closely with cross-functional teams to optimize data management practices. In Addition, this role involves collaborating with users, IT teams, and stakeholders to ensure optimal application performance, user satisfaction, and the timely resolution of issues. The analyst will also participate in application upgrades, maintenance, and user training.

Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain and update static data in systems and databases, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and data quality checks to identify and rectify discrepancies in static data.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures for static data entry, maintenance, and retrieval processes.

  • Analyze static data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create and generate reports for stakeholders regarding data quality metrics, trends, and recommendations for data management improvements.
  • Work closely with development and IT teams to identify and resolve software bugs, system performance issues, and integration challenges.
  • Assist in the testing of new application releases and updates, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
  • Assist in the development of data governance frameworks and best practices.
  • Gather and analyze user feedback to identify areas for improvement and recommend enhancements to application functionality.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and implement application enhancements based on user needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders regarding static data inquiries and issues.
  • Provide timely and effective support for data-related issues, ensuring user satisfaction and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Collaborate with IT and data management teams to resolve data-related technical issues and implement enhancements.
  • Work closely with business units to understand data requirements and ensure that static data supports business processes effectively.
  • Liaise with data governance and compliance teams to ensure adherence to data policies and procedures.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects related to data management and system enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline static data processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, data management practices, and relevant technologies.
  • Work with various operations and accounting departments to understand master data requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience of working with structured project governance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in data management, data analysis, or a similar role
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A track record of following through on commitments.
  • Organized person, able to work on deadlines.
  • Open to adapt to different working cultures.
  • Advanced English (spoken and written)
  • Experience with data governance principles and practices is a plus.
  • Proficient in data management tools and software (e.g., SQL, Excel, Access).
  • Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is advantageous.
  • Understanding of data quality concepts and data cleansing techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
