The team is distributed across the EU, UK and Americas and counts over 120, to fix issues of scale, reliability & performance. We are a true cultural mix of people working together to spread the reach of Erlang and Elixir programming languages across the globe.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Agile Facilitation:

  • Act as Scrum Master for multiple squads, facilitating all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand- ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives).
  • Ensure the teams are following Agile best practices and continuously improving their processes.

2. Project Management:

  • Oversee the delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Track project progress, manage risks, and communicate project status to stakeholders. o Work closely with Product Managers, Tech Leads, and other stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
  • Present status and progress directly to business leadership.

3. Team Support:

  • Provide support to the squads, helping to remove impediments and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Assist in the prioritization of work items and ensure that the teams are working on the highest priority tasks.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and encourage the teams to experiment with new practices.

4. Communication and Collaboration:

  • Serve as a liaison between the squads and other departments, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Facilitate cross-team coordination and collaboration to ensure alignment on goals and priorities.
  • Prepare and present project reports and updates to stakeholders.
  • Work with Information security teams, control and audit teams, to document and seek approval for planned projects.

5. Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with the teams to implement changes.
  • Monitor team performance using Agile metrics and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure that the teams are using Jira and other tools effectively to track work and progress.

  • Experience using and/or administrating Jira (or equivalent) to marshal multiple projects in parallel.
  • Experience using Datadog, Splunk, or equivalent to dive into issues.
  • Experience delivering features on ecommerce websites Software engineering experience a big plus.
  • Experience specifying APIs (GraphQL, REST)
  • Technical background/mindset - understands web architectures and is curious about new stacks and approaches.
  • Highly motivated and self-driven with a curiosity around how teams work best together. Proven bias towards rolling sleeves up and getting things done.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. A team player with a collaborative mindset and a positive attitude.
